After a two-year battle with cancer, Allan F. Bock, 57, of Carpentersville, passed away peacefully on July 7th, 2019, at his home with family. We are grateful that he was able to spend quality time in the months before his death with his children, brother, friends and family.
He was born on September 18, 1961, in Berwyn, Illinois. Allan was predeceased by his parents Joanne and Forrest Bock. He is survived by his sons Daniel and Michael, daughter Amy, brother Michael, grandson Jacob (JJ), and many nieces and nephews.
Allan was a graduate of Morton West High School in Berwyn and worked for many years in the produce industry. Allan’s greatest passion was his family. Whether sharing a meal or just catching up, nothing brought Allan more joy than being around his family and friends. Beyond his family, Allan had a passion for fishing and motorcycles, loved auto racing, rodeos and many other sports.
Allan leaves a legacy of compassion and happiness. He was a kindhearted and funny man, who told amazing stories often bringing laughter to those around him — just like his father. Everybody who had the pleasure of knowing Allan would describe him as one of the nicest people they have ever met.
He will be greatly missed. A private burial was held at Union Ridge Cemetery in Chicago, IL.
