Gabino Hernandez Martinez

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gabino Hernandez Martínez, who departed this life on September 6, 2025, at the age of 93.

Born on October 23, 1931, in Mexico, Gabino lived a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to his family and friends.

Gabino is survived by his beloved children: Armando, Gabino, Guadalupe, María del Refugio, Evelia, Irma, Juana, and Rubén; along with his cherished 31 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alejandra Hernandez, and his son, Jose Luis “Chelis” Hernandez.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Dundee Funeral Home, 485 Dundee Ave., East Dundee, IL.

Funeral Mass will follow on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Monica Catholic Church, 90 N. Kennedy Dr., Carpentersville, IL.

Burial will take place at Dundee Township Cemetery, 420 Dundee Ave., East Dundee, IL.

Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the life of Gabino Hernandez Martínez.

Though deeply missed, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Con gran tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Gabino Hernández Martínez, quien partió de esta vida el 6 de septiembre de 2025, a la edad de 93 años.

Nacido el 23 de octubre de 1931 en México, Gabino vivió una vida llena de amor, bondad y entrega a su familia y amigos.

Le sobreviven sus amados hijos: Armando, Gabino, Guadalupe, María del Refugio, Evelia, Irma, Juana y Rubén; así como 31 nietos, 57 bisnietos y 1 tataranieto.

Le precedieron en la muerte su querida esposa, Alejandra Hernández, y su hijo, José Luis “Chelis” Hernández.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el jueves 11 de septiembre de 2025, de 3:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m., en Dundee Funeral Home, 485 Dundee Ave., East Dundee, IL.

La Misa de Funeral se celebrará el viernes 12 de septiembre de 2025, a las 11:00 a.m., en la Iglesia Católica St. Monica, 90 N. Kennedy Dr., Carpentersville, IL.

El entierro se llevará a cabo en el Cementerio Dundee Township, 420 Dundee Ave., East Dundee, IL.

Familiares y amigos están cordialmente invitados a asistir y celebrar la vida de Gabino Hernández Martínez.

Aunque será profundamente extrañado, su memoria vivirá para siempre en los corazones de quienes lo amaron.
