Precautions we are taking against COVID-19
We are taking precautions to keep you and your loved ones safe. We can all do our part to help stop the spread of COVID-19 by practicing social distancing and good hygiene. We will still continue to provide the highest possible level of service to our families, but their health and safety and the safety of our staff is the most important.
We are following the COVID-19 guidelines provided by the CDC and the Illinois Department of Public Health. We are also in close contact with our local churches and community centers and will work with them to provide the best service possible.
Masks are required at all times within our facilities.
Increased cleaning of our facilities
Stop handshaking and hugging – use other non-contact methods of greeting
We provide multiple stations to clean your hands by either washing (for 20 seconds) or using hand sanitizer
Please try to avoid touching your face and cover coughs and sneezes
We have increased the regularity of disinfecting surfaces like doorknobs, tables, and handrails
We have increased ventilation by adjusting air conditioning
Our family room will be closed with the exception of single serve coffee and water bottles.
Families are welcome to bring food but it must be set up outside
Social distancing is required and easily visible by tape. We will also change the flow for visitations to help maintain social distancing
Please visit the CDC’s website for more information: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html.
During this very difficult time you can still have funerals, burials, and cremations. But like almost everything else in our lives now things are different. Here are ways we are helping families to celebrate and grieve in these uncertain times:
During this difficult time we need to stick together. Funerals and memorials help bring us closer to provide comfort when we need it most. Even though you might not be able to pay your respects in person we encourage you to leave a message of condolence online or send families a card or flowers. Anything sent to our funeral home will be delivered to the family.
We can now offer public visitations or services, however only 50 people at a time will be allowed to visit with their loved ones at our funeral homes. Many churches are starting to allow 50 or more people for funerals. Local cemeteries will now allow an unlimited number of people for graveside services as long as social distancing practices are followed. Indoor chapel services at catholic cemeteries will be limited to 25% of capacity
