Martin Joseph Sinnott, 73, was called home to the Lord on June 29, 2026. He was born in Brooklyn New York to the late Katherine Theresa Sinnott (McKenna) and Martin Joseph Sinnott.
Marty graduated from Aviation High School in Queens New York. Marty had his private pilot license. Not enough can be said that he was gifted with the ability to repair or build anything. He was sole proprietor of Marty’s Aircraft Service aviation repair business in Oklahoma City. Marty later worked for United Airlines he earned the Gold Award from the Federal Aviation Administration as an ORDMM Line Maintenance Mechanic, a highly skilled aviation professional responsible for the quick, fast paced day-to-day on the ground servicing of the large aircraft. He was a Federal Aviation Administration certified (A&P) Airframe and Powerplant mechanic, he was recognized for his commitment to excellence by supervision and retired from United Airlines after over 34 years. Marty was a friend to everyone he met, he enjoyed music, timewith family and loved traveling the world.He will most be remembered as a loving husband, father and supportive friend, by those who knew and loved him.
Marty survived by his wife, Sandee and two sons, Orion Metzger and Nolan Sinnott (Michelle Keomany) and brother Bryan William Sinnott, niece, Kelli (David) Rivera, two nephews; Timothy (Lexi) Sinnott, and Michael Sinnott (fiancé Nicole Schneider).
A visitation for Martin will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from 4 PM till 9 PM at Dundee Funeral home 485 Dundee Ave. E., Dundee, IL 60118. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 10:30 AM at Saint Mary Church. Family and friends can gather at the funeral home from 8:30am until the time of mass.
