Susan Marlene Reinecke

Susan Marlene Reinecke (Sue), passed away on Dec 11, 2025 at the age of 64 after battling her third bout with cancer.

Sue was born in Elgin, IL on Sep 13, 1961 to Melvin and Ruth Reinecke of E. Dundee, IL where she resided most of her life. Sue attended Immanuel Lutheran grade school and graduated from Dundee Community High School.

Sue loved her animals, working in her flower beds, and feeding the wildlife; her true passion was caring for her children and spending time with grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to a variety of music, especially her favorite artist, Pink, whom she got to see in concert as a surprise Christmas gift from her daughter. She also enjoyed traveling and as a child went on many family trips across the US, later in life she enjoyed a Caribbean cruise, visiting Lake Geneva, and spending time with her sister in Texas.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Ruth Reinecke. Family members left to cherish her memory are her three children: Tyler Nelson (Nicole), Lauren Gylleck (Joe) and Kody Soper; five grandchildren: Adriana, Liam, Scarlett, Beverly and Loretta; and sister, Sandy Snyder of Texas.

A memorial service will take place at Dundee Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 17th from 12:00-3:00pm.
