John L. Russell

John L. Russell, 75, of Carpentersville passed away peacefully in Elgin IL September 21, 2022.  Born in Chicago January 12, 1947 to the late Corliss and Betty Russell.  Beloved husband of Bonnie (nee Lange); devoted father of Donna (Mike) Peters, Sheila (Dave) Kozin, Marilyn (Corey) Burley; loving grandfather of Zachary Peters, Justin Peters, Jadon Kozin, Kiana Kozin, Allie Grafer, Katie Grafer, Blake Burley and Matthew Burley; great-grandfather of Ayden Hawes; fond brother of Ray (Lynda) Russell and Marilyn (Todd) Shoemaker.  John was a faithful and dedicated employee at Elgin Sweeper for over 35 years, and also spent his time as a volunteer firefighter at the Carpentersville Fire Department.  He enjoyed spending his free time watching sports and spending time with his family.  

Join us in honoring John Sunday October 2, 2022 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at Dundee Funeral Home 525 Dundee Ave. East Dundee IL 60118 for a time of memorial visitation.  Memorial service will begin at 3:30pm.
