Maria D. Perez

Maria D. Perez, 81, of Carpentersville passed away peacefully September 12, 2020 in Barrington IL.  Born in Mexico September 15, 1938 to Agustine Luna and Carolina Navarro.  Beloved wife of the late Ramon Perez who passed away May 7, 2019.  Loving mother of Minerva C. Perez and Juan J. (Juanita N.) Perez; caring grandmother of Flor M. Materko, Paloma C. Materko, Angelica F. Cho, Amariah A. Perez and Avelicziana R. Perez; fond sister of Zoila Luna, Agustin Luna Jr. and Maria Elena Luna.  

Maria was a faithful member of Discovery Church in Elgin, and had a background of education in ministry work.  She attended IBLA Bible College, gained an educational degree from H. Matamoros, Tamp. Mexico, and earned a doctorate of Divinity from W.V. Grant Ministry.  Her was a dedicated teacher to many.  "Maria was a simple woman but loved sparkly things and loved being a mom.  She was a woman of faith who served the Lord all of her days.  She taught bible school and was a pastor along side her husband in Carpentersville IL.  She loved spending time with her family and helping others.  She was well know for giving counsel to young mothers and wives in distress.  She taught her family how trust God and believe that HE does all things to work together for our good!  Now she has no more oain and will forever live in our hearts and her teachings will not be forgotten. 

And now the Lord says to you, "Well done, thou good and faithfull servant: thou hast been a faithful and good servant; thou has been faithful over a few things, I will make you a ruler over many things; enter thou into the joy of the Lord" - Matthew 25:21

O death, where is your sting, O grave where is your victory?  The sting of death in sin; the strength of sin is the law.  But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  Corinthians 55-57

Visitation will be Sunday September 20, 2020 from 2-7pm at Dundee Funeral Home 525 Dundee Ave East Dundee IL 60118.

Burial will take place Monday September 21, 2020 at 11am at Dundee Township Cemetery.
