Martin D. Calimee Sr.

Martin Deporres Calimee Sr., 62, of Carpentersville, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family August 15, 2020.  Born in Chicago August 27, 1957 to the late JC and Ethelene (nee Durr) Calimee.  Beloved husband of Wanda; loving father of Shikina (Andera), Martin Jr. (Jocelyn), Marques, Rashard and Stormie; caring grandfather of Brianna, April, Aaliyah, Jaylen, Jaria-Lynn, Jazmeen, Jalen, Martin III, Michaiah, Jamari, the late Maurice, Manuel, Jayson and Maxson; great grandfather of Tyler, Kyla, August, Kambri, and Jaylen Jr.; dear brother of Victor, Vivian (Wayne) John (Rich) Cesar, Gerald, Vincent (Gayle) and Raun.  

  Martin was a very kind and gentle man who was loved by all who met him,  but he was also strong minded, highly opinionated and hopelessly inexorable. He worked hard and studied electronics at Wright College and computer science at Northern Illinois University and worked as a technician for over 40 years and he also was an avid chess player.  Martin was also a man of faith, and confessed his love for Christ at an early age.  

Please join us to celebrate Martin Friday August 21, 2020 for a time of visitation from 4-9pm at Dundee Funeral Home 525 Dundee Ave. East Dundee IL 60118, the family has requested guests  wear White Sox clothing or colors to honor Martin.  Burial will be Saturday August 22, 2020 at 11am at Dundee Township - East Cemetery.  (Located directly across the street from the funeral home) Please gather at the funeral home at 10am.
